Brand of the Week: Purple Wolf Clothing

Brand of the Week: Purple Wolf Clothing

Choosing the Brand of the Week is a fun exercise here at Kinzzi! It is a result of a panel of votes generated by the team.

This week, we’re happy to announce the triumphed brand – a brand that derives its name from a creature frequently present in mythology; a name that embodies power and strength; an alpha Female wolf: The Purple Wolf. A brand that houses bohemian style clothing that channels the Boho Chic flair using long-lasting colourful, patterned quality pieces. Ethically made by hand, this brand’s timeless pieces empower the she wolf within.

Presenting the Alpha Female behind the pack, here’s a snippet into the life of Purple Wolf Founder, Sara.

  1. What did you do before starting Purple Wolf?

I worked at my family-owned furniture galleries, mainly in the buying sector, visual merchandising interior decor and my passion followed me through the years where. I had mannequins displayed around the store, dressed in unique pieces, creating a concept store that was the earliest of its kind in Lebanon. Then I moved to London where I joined one of the most popular fashion and clothing brands in the UK.

  2. Where does the name come from?

Purple Wolf derives from a love of the wild, especially the female wolf. Female wolf is the embodiment of the Divine Feminine Goddess Energy as she navigates the balance between power and vulnerability. She represents the physical, emotional and spiritual embodiment of being at one with herself and all life as she owns herself.

And why "Purple"? It's one of the colours which I never fancied to be honest but it carries a beautiful strong meaning which fits perfectly with the wolf and the brand itself - creativity, power, mystery and magic.

  3. When did you get started in fashion design?

Purple Wolf is 3 years old.

  4. Where do you draw inspiration for your pieces and different collections? (Runway, nature, interiors, etc)?

I get inspired with literally everything around me, especially flea market or vintage fair - wandering around feeling the different fabrics that would soon be styled into clothes.

  5. What are the driving principles behind being an ethically-based brand?

The concept of the brand is to produce super fun designs in the most ideal sense. Reducing harm to people and the planet and create a better future for everyone.

  6. What would you be doing if you were not in fashion?

I would be definitely still working in my family business in furniture and home decor. Or a hip-hop dancer, who knows... HAHA!

  7. Where do you see Purple Wolf in 2 years? 5 years?

Howling louder than ever! We aim to create a brand that empowers you to be the best version of yourself.

  8. What makes you laugh the most?

Its doesn't take much. I love to laugh and to make people laugh. Sarcasm when it is not directed to me, it can be quite entertaining. My boys with the things they do and say.

  9. The first place on our post-pandemic travel list is?

Due to COVID-19, I'm living day by day really. I deal with things as they happen.

  10. What is your current favourite piece? How do you style it?

All of them! Whether you’re a She-Wolf, Dreamy Wolf, Hammer Wolf, or a Flirty Wolf, anyone can be a part of the pack.

  11. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

    Food tasting in Mexico.
